According to the source, the developers of WhatsApp is working on a feature which will automatically delete media similar to the text messages.
Whenever a user send a photo to someone he or she will get a new option and the same will enable the user to automatically delete the media after a certain time.
WhatsApp is working on self-destructing photos in a future update for iOS and Android.
• Self-destructing photos cannot be exported from WhatsApp.
• WhatsApp didn't implement a screenshot detection for self-destructing photos yet.
