The tech world is going through a series of layoffs as we witness the same with Twitter, Facebook’s parent company Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and few more. Now two more names are added to the list as Disney and Yahoo have also announced a similar decision.
Disney’s CEO Robert Iger has confirmed that 7000 people would be losing their job as part of a significant transformation while Yahoo has said that they will cut 20% of its workforce which will be around 1,700 people. It is also said that 1,000 of them need to leave the office as early as next week.
It is very sad to write and it is very disappointing to know that many people are losing their jobs. Let’s hope that 2023 will be fixing the issues in the coming months.
