MediaTek, the very strong contender of the smartphone industry has unveiled a new processor called MediaTek Helio G85 which is developed by keeping gaming in mind. The processor is unveiled with the new Redmi Note 9 smartphone which was announced recently. So, let’s check out the complete details of the newly announced mobile processor.
The brand new MediaTek Helio G85 comes with the 2+6 core arrangement and the same features two Cortex-A75 cores which is clocked at up to 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset is also integrated with Mali G52 GPU and that is clocked at 1000MHz. Well, that’s why Xiaomi said that the processor is for everyday gamers.
Separately, MediaTek also announced that it will enable YouTube video streams using the cutting-edge AV1 video codec on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G SoC.
