The social networking giant has introduced the end-to-end encryption into Messenger application in the form of ‘Secret conversation’. You can see the option in the setting menu as soon as you enable it, you will see a screen and you have to tap on ‘Ok’ to enable it.

Facebook’s end-to-end encryption feature is not enabled by default, you have to enable it in individual chats also the encryption is only enabled on those devices which the secret conversation have been enabled. Once you have enabled the secret conversation, then colour of Messenger will be changed.

You can also set self-destructing messages, in this way the messages you have sent will automatically deleted after a certain time period. You can choose the time period between 5 seconds to 24 hours to delete the messages automatically. In the secret conversation you won’t able to send any GIF and videos.

So, this is really a good step by Facebook to bring the secret conversations feature inside the Messenger application. If you want to use this feature, then grab your smartphone and update the Messenger app right now.
