After shutting down the desktop applications of Facebook Messenger for Mac and Windows, now Facebook has taken another decision that will disappoint the users of Facebook Messenger on desktop.
As it is officially announced that the company is closing the website, which means the messenger.com will not be available. This decision will be effective from April 2026. This does not mean that Facebook is killing Messenger as you will be directed to facebook.com/messages to continue messaging on the web.
The users who use Messenger without a Facebook account can continue messaging on the mobile app. The chat history and other data will not vanish, as it can be restored on any platform using your PIN.
