Facebook the social networking giant continuously tries to make things awesome for its uses, and with the latest update the social networking giant brings many new features such as picture-in-picture mode, autoplay sound for videos and more.
Facebook has added picture-in-picture mode (similar to the YouTube), you will now able to minimize the video and continue browsing through your news feed. Not only this, Android users can also be able to view a video even the app is closed. The video will be visible in the corner of the screen and you can even drag it around to any corner.
Currently on Facebook whenever you came across to a video in your news feed, the video play automatically but to hear the sound you have to click the sound button. But now it is going to be a story, with the new update videos on Facebook will play sound by default and the sound wouldn’t be enabled in videos if you are device is in silent mode. You can also change this feature if you would like to do so, head to your setting menu inside the Facebook app then switch off the videos in news feed start with sound option.
The company is also bringing a few other improvements in the video section on its mobile app. In the Android application of Facebook, vertical videos will now play in a larger, upright format. This will definitely make vertical videos easier to watch on your mobile devices.
Moreover, Facebook also launching new video apps for the Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung Smart TV. With these new apps you will be able to watch videos shared by friends, by pages you follow, recommended videos according to your interest and even the top live videos from across the globe.
So, head to the Play Store and update the app.
