The upcoming OnePlus 8 series is in talks from a while now. We know the design of both regular and Pro versions, and few features as well. Well as of now we didn’t got any leak covering specs of these smartphones. But today we got the same, along with a third device in this series. Spec sheet of OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite is leaked online covering almost all the specs. As the name suggests the Pro version is higher end amongst all and Lite version is least.
OnePlus 8 Lite:
Starting with the new Lite variant, this one has lowest specs as compared to other two. But we can expect lower price as well. Starting off with the display, this OnePlus 8 Lite sports 6.4 inch of Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2400×1080) resolution and 90hz refresh rate. Now here comes the surprise, this smartphones comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor with integrated 5G support. This is first time OnePlus is opting for MediaTek chipset. It will come with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 3.0 storage options.
Regarding camera, this OnePlus 8 Lite has triple camera setup with 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor at f1.7 aperture, 16MP wide angle lens at f2.2 aperture and 12MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom and f2.4 aperture. Both OIS and EIS will be present here. On front there’s 16MP Sony IMX471 camera. The battery capacity here is 4,000mAh with Warp Charge 30T and Type-C port. Then again for the first time, there will be IP53 certification for dust and water resistance. It will be priced at ¥2,999 (₹30,400) and ¥3,299 (₹33,450), based on storage options.
OnePlus 8:
Now let’s talk about the regular 8. This device sports 6.44 inch of Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2400×1080) resolution and 90hz refresh rate. It has Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 5G processor, which means Snapdragon 865 with separate 5G modem. It comes with 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB storage options. It has better LPDDR5 RAMs and same UFS 3.0 storages.
The camera on OnePlus 8 is still triple camera setup, but with newer sensors. The primary sensor is now 60MP Sony IMX686, then there’s 16MP wide angle lens, and lastly 12MP telephoto lens with 5X optical zoom. There’s no information about apertures for this one. On the front there’s 32MP camera. It packs a 4,000mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T. This one also has IP53 certification. It’s priced at ¥3,299 (₹33,450), ¥3,599 (₹36,490), and ¥3,999 (₹40,540), based on storage options.
OnePlus 8 Pro:
Now the highest variant of all, the Pro. This OnePlus 8 Pro sports 6.7 inch of Super AMOLED display with Quad HD+ (3180×1440) resolution and new 120Hz refresh rate. This one also comes with Snapdragon 865 5G processor. The storage configuration is also same as regular model; 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB i.e. same LPDDR5 RAMs and UFS 3.0 storages.
Now the camera is very similar here, but with slight upgrades here and there. The primary sensor is 60MP Sony IMX686, 16MP wide angle lens, and 13MP telephoto lens with 10X optical zoom. On the front there’s 32MP camera with secondary ToF sensor for 3D depth sensing. In terms of battery it has dual 2,250mAh batteries that totals to 4,500mAh. And this dual battery setup is because of 50W Super Warp charging at 10V 5A. And of course Type-C port and IP53 certification is present as well. It’s priced at ¥4,499 (₹45,610), ¥4,999 (₹50,680), and ¥5,499 (₹55,750), based on the storage options.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally I think the OnePlus 8 Lite is supposed to compete in sub 30k price segment in India, where we can see great competitions like Realme X2 Pro. And OnePlus 8 might start from 40k. The OnePlus 8 Pro as usual be priced above 50k. But we will some significant improvements internally. Most importantly, IP rating is present this time, which is very demanding from OnePlus users. Do note that these are very early leaks, so take these with a pinch of salt.
