Recently we have been seeing that the trend of launching Bezel less devices is going on whether it’s the Flagship segment or the budget segment. Samsung, LG, Micromax, Vivo are few of those who have successfully launched their part of Bezel less beauties and the latest addition in the list is the Chinese manufacturer Gionee which has come up with Gionee M7.
Successor to the last year’s Gionee M6, the M7 comes with a lot of upgrades from its predecessor. The first thing anyone will notice is the display with minimal bezels. It is a 6.01 inch Full view AMOLED display which comes with 18:9 aspect ratio and with a resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels. Talking about the design, it boasts a full uni-body brushed metallic construction on its back.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 SoC with 6GB of massive RAM and backed by Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. You get 64GB of onboard storage which is expandable upto 256GB via micro SD card. To keep it running, the company has provided a massive 4,000 mAh battery. It will be interesting to see how much the battery will be capable to keep the device running.
On the software part, it runs Amigo OS 5.0 which is Gionee’s own OS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Next up is the camera. It has an 8MP selfie camera along with Rear Dual Camera Setup. The rear camera setup consists of one 16MP lens (f/1.8 aperture) and another 8MP lens. The latter lens will be used for depth sensing and to create the bokeh effect by blurring the background.
For now, the phone will be available only in Chinese markets. There’s no words about the foreign markets as of now from the company. It is priced at ¥2799 which translates to approx Rs 27,520.
