Last year Google launched there own Google Pixel & Pixel XL smartphones. They are very good smartphones but the USP of Pixel phones are the Google’s own Artificial Intelligence system, Google Assistant. It’s a smart voice search type system which will answer your questions with it’s own capabilities. This feature is exclusive to Pixel phones, it’s not even available for Nexus phones. There are some ways by which you can use Google Assistant on your Non Pixel smartphones but that requires flashing programs & other stuffs. There’s no official way to access Google Assistant feature on other smartphones. But now seems like this feature will not be exclusive anymore. So how’s it’s possible ? Let’s find out.
There are three versions of Google App ; Stable, Beta and Alpha. The Alpha version is a experimental version that contains newer features compared to other two version. And now with the latest update of Google App Alpha version, we finally got the access of Google Assistant on other Android smartphones as well. But this feature is now available just for some devices like Nexus 6P (Android 7.1.1 nougat) & Galaxy Note 5 (Android 6.0.1 marshmallow) as seen in the imaged below. We don’t have any information that on which devices this will support as of now. And there’s no particular reason why Google Assistant is only supported on few devices.
Google Assistant support is expected to come soon on other devices as well. But if you are curious to use the feature and want to know that your device is from those lucky devices which are supporting Google Assistant, head over to this link to download the APK. But do note that as it’s an Alpha version, the app will be quite unstable to use. So download it only if you love to try new features with compromise in stability.
