In our daily life, we are getting used to WhatsApp Messenger and other messenger apps. But other messenger apps are not as popular as WhatsApp. WhatsApp has also reduced the usage of Skype after the free video calling feature. There are few more apps that has video calling feature. Hangouts is one of them. Hangouts is one of those apps which bought video calling to smartphones. Now yesterday Google has done something for Hangouts. Google has made two different apps for Hangouts. So what’s the difference between two apps ? Let’s find out.
As you already know there are mainly two features in hangouts, video calling and text chat. Now in the new apps, Google will split these two features. One app will have Hangouts Chats and other app will have Hangouts Video Call. The name of two apps will be Hangouts Chat and Hangouts Meet.
First let’s talk about ‘Hangouts Chat’, as suggested by the name this app will be used for chatting with different groups in ease. There are lots of features like Virtual Rooms. Now coming to the 2nd app that’s ‘Hangouts Meet’, this app will be used for video calling for personal as well as business purpose. You can do video conference with upto 30 peoples. Now you don’t have to add all of them seperately in the group, just send the invite link to everyone just like WhatsApp’s group invite link.
Both apps will be integrated to G-Suite. With G-Suite you can share content from Google drive, Google keeps, Google Calendar, etc. easily. Hangouts Meet is available in play store and Hangouts Chat will be available later, you can sign-up for early adaption program.
