We all know that search engine giant company Google releases a lot of software-based features for Android which are very innovative and useful. Last year in Google’s event, they unveiled a new feature for Android i.e. ‘Google Lens’. Later on, they rolled out it on their own Pixel devices, back in March this year they released the same for some other smartphones too via Photos app. Now today Google has given a treat to OnePlus users.
Google Lens is now rolling out to Google Assistant only on OnePlus devices. Now users having selected OnePlus devices are access Google Lens directly from Assistant. Though from past one month it’s easily accessible on Photos app, now it’s accessible on Assistant as well. These are the following OnePlus smartphone which got this support:
- OnePlus 3
- OnePlus 3T
- OnePlus 5
- OnePlus 5T
All these devices can now point their cameras to an object via Assistant and can receive related information via Assistant instead of Google Search. This can also bring some smart answers within. There are strong possibilities that upcoming OnePlus 6 will have the same feature out of the box because it will be the flagship killer of 2018.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Though it’s a very useful feature, it will take some time to implement in a stable way. Also, this Google Lens is underrated or lesser known feature. Now let’s see if Google will bring any interesting features in Lens, as today is the Google I/O 2018 event. So stay tuned with us for more information.
