Google Photos Gets Massive Makeover

Google Photos is rolling out ‘Year in Review’ feature which will showcase the moments from your album in the Memories section of the app. As you guessed, it will include the moments from the past 12 months. In addition, users can also create their own 2020 photo book filled with pictures clicked throughout the year.

The company renamed Best of 2019 moniker to ‘Year in Review’ and will remain so starting this year. At the moment the new feature is being rolled out to all devices and here is how you can create your own ‘Year in Review’.

  • Firstly, head to Google Photos app on your Android or iOS device.
  • Select Year in Review next to Memories.
  • After some moments, the collection of the best moments of the year according to the algorithm of Google should be ready.
  • There’s also an option to directly share them to your social media apps.

Besides users can also create Preview Book which includes all your favourite pictures from the year. It allows users to add or delete the pictures as required. If it has not reached your device, do not worry it will arrive soon as Google is working on it.
