Back in last month, we updated that the Mountain View company Google will launch a new service called Google Play Pass and today the company has launched it officially. It’s a subscription-based service similar to the Apple Arcade, but Google’s new service is different from Apple’s because Apple offers for games only but the new Google service is meant for both the apps and games.
Everything about Google Play Pass
It is the subscription-based service for both the games and applications, users of the new service will able to use the app or games without any advertisement and no in-app purchases. The company has revealed that the service offers more than 350 applications and games from the Google Play Store and the list will be increased in the coming days.
Google hasn’t announced the entire list of apps and games but the company has mentioned that games such as Lichtspeer, LIMBO, Mini Metro, Monument Valley, Old Man’s Journey, Stardew Valley, Terraria, Risk, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic are going to be available.
Furthermore, the company has promised to add new in the list every month such as games like This War of Mine and Cytus. Regarding the apps, the company said about the AccuWeather only.
The company will also make a dedicated tab in the Google Play Store for the new service that will help users to find the supported apps and games. The new Google Play Pass service can also share with the family members and the service supports up to five members of a family.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the new Google Play Pass is currently available only in the United States and the service is priced at $4.99 per month. However, the company is providing the service on a special price of $1.99 and per month for a year subscription and this offer is valid for a limited period of time only. Having said that, the service is offering a 10 day free trial.
