The foldable smartphone is the trend of this year, and we already witnessed several prototypes and announcement. The South Korean electronics giant Samsung unveiled the first commercial foldable device early this year, followed by many other popular brands joined the league at MWC 2019 event. When this much of hype is their, how Google can sit quietly? Today the company has revealed that it is working on a foldable smartphone prototype.
Mario Queiroz, Pixel phones development lead at Google, revealed that the company is working on foldable displays. He further added that don’t expect that anytime soon. We already updated that the company filed the patent for the foldable display a couple of months back, and the patent design revealed that the company is working in double folded device.
The also said at the Google IO 2019 event that is excited about its upcoming foldable Smartphones and the company said that the devices will run on the Android mobile operating system. The company already launched the Android Q with the support for foldable displays.
