Patent Design Reveals Double-Folded Google Smartphone

Back in January, we got a rumor that suggested Google might launch a foldable smartphone this year. After that, we haven’t got a single leak on that. On the first Android Q Beta that was launched yesterday, Google said that they will make Android Q compatible with foldable displays. Now today we got a patent design revealing the foldable Google smartphone.

As you can see from the images below, you will notice that Google is going for inward direction to fold the display just like recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Fold. And unlike the recently unveiled Huawei Mate X, which gets fold to onward direction. But here comes the unique factor Google is popular for, Double Fold design. This patent shows that the smartphone is double folded with gaps between the displays when folded. It’s similar to a folded cloth. Not much is revealed about the design here.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. Though this design looks very interesting, innovative, and unique, but do note that this is just a patent design. And there are high chance that final product will be completely different then what it looks now. Well, what are your thoughts on this design? Do you think Google’s foldable smartphone should get this design or not? Let us know in the comment section below. Also stay tuned with us for more information.
