Google has joined with Environment Tech firm Aclima to measure the air pollution level in California and showcasing on Google Earth.
Google has come up with another environmental initiative, as the Giant joined hands with an Environment Tech firm Aclima which delivers environmental intelligence through sensor networks and both covered more than 1,00,000 miles over a period of 4,000 hours using the advanced google Street View Cars. Google has always been a part of environmental insights and brings its initiative towards Global topics.
“Scientists and air quality specialists can use this information to assist local organizations, governments, and regulators in identifying opportunities to achieve greater air quality improvements and solutions.”
“The measurements indicate that traffic-choked freeways, traffic on local streets, and weather patterns that blow pollution inland all influence the patterns of air pollution. We hope this information helps us build smarter more sustainable cities, reduce climate-changing greenhouse gases and improve air quality for healthier living,” said Google Earth Outreach program manager Karin Tucen-Bettman.
Google is also getting deeper into this topic by allowing scientists to do research in increasing Air Pollution and Google is also working on to expand the territory. Currently, the tech statistics is available limited to California which may increase its boundary in future with more advanced technology to map the threat which makes Earth toxic day by day!
