Even different telecom operators trying to expand their 4G service all over the country, the Indian government is gearing up to auction 5G spectrum in the country.
According to source, the Indian government is working with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to arrange 5G spectrum auction to launch the latest technology. The government eyeing at auctioning spectrum in bands 3300 MHz and 3400 MHz, while the exact date of the auction process is not announced yet. However, the source suggest that it could happen later this year.
The new connectivity technology predicted to be commercially available by 2020, it seems government of India to move in early to adapt latest technology. Moreover, the government intend to auction the 700 MHz again.
