The government of India has asked VPN service providers to collect and store the data of the users and the same is against the policy of the VPN service providers that’s why they are pulling the servers from India. Now it is reported that the government wants its employees to not use third-party cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.
It is reported that the government is asking its employees to not save any internal or confidential government data on non government cloud services such as Google Drive or Dropbox. It is also said that the employees are advised to not use root or jailbreak devices and it is also said that the government employees are not supposed to not use CamScanner to scan official papers and it is worth mentioning that the CamScanner app was banned in 2020 along with other popular Chinese applications including TikTok.
It is worth mentioning that the VPN service providers have to follow the new rules by June 27 and already popular service providers such as ExpressVPN left India.
