Recently, the developers of world’s most favourite instant messaging application rolled out ‘Payments‘ feature on the platform. Now today the developers of the application rolled out a new feature into the beta version of WhatsApp, and the new feature is called Group Description.
With the Group Description feature, you will able to add a short bio of your group just like the text status which we add in the about section of our profile. All the group members will able to view the description of the group, and also if the group invite is shared publicly with third-parties then it will also visible to the public.
The position of the description of a group is placed at the top in the group chat to the new members, and if they leave the chat then it will disappear and at this moment only group admins can able to add a description. The new feature is currently available on the beta platform of Android (v2.18.54) and Windows Phone (v2.18.28).
The timeline of rolling out of the new feature is not available at this moment, but we hope that the company will roll out this feature in near future and in my opinion, this is a really good addition to the group.
