Haier, has always been a name to be reckoned with as far as televisions are concerned. The Chinese television vendor acquired the General Electrics in 2016 and Since then it has continued to manufacture GE’s appliances like dishwashers, microwaves, and refrigerators. The company has now partnered with Google to up its game in Television market. This will allow Haier to include Android features in its upcoming Televisions.
Now, the new Android powered Televisions will hit the North America by Q1 of 2018 and they’ll be boasting either a 1080p FHD or a 4K UHD resolution panels with different screen sizes. The sets will come with the latest version of Android TV based on Android Oreo. You’ll be able to play games from the Play Store, control your smart home appliances, and use Google Assistant just like you would on your phone or Google Home.
Haier also has plans to launch it globally but may be after sometime.
