HMD Global Makes Way For The New Nokia 6 To The India

Alongside the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco, HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6 which was unveiled at the MWC event. The Nokia 6 is an Android One based smartphone, and it is actually the Nokia 6 (2018) which was launched in China early in this year. Now you may be thinking why the company has unveiled the same device with a new name, well, don’t scratch your head. The Nokia 6 (2018) is exclusive to the Chinese market, and the new Nokia 6 is targeted for the global markets. And the new Nokia 6 has few differences with the Nokia 6 (2018), and it is in software, as well as, the processor. So, if you are unaware of the new Nokia 6 then let’s dive into the article.

The Nokia 6 comes with 5.5 inch Full-HD display with 2.5D curved glass atop, and the glass is protected with Gorilla Glass 3, along with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor and it is clocked @ 2.2 GhZ and paired with 3 GB RAM, along with Adreno 508 for the graphical task. Speaking about the storage, the device is coming with 32 GB internal storage and can be expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card.

Speaking about the photography department, it has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. And it also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 84° wide-angle lens. Moreover, the new version of Nokia 6 also has a new feature called Bothie which allows users to capture photos and videos via the front and rear camera simultaneously. Speaking about the connectivity, the device has the USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and support for 4G LTE and VoLTE.

The device also has a fingerprint scanner for your security, and it also supports Nokia OZO Audio. As I mentioned above, the device is a part of the Android One. that’s why it runs on the latest version of Android i.e. Android Oreo v8.0, and it will get a regular software update for the next two years. Speaking about the battery capacity, the device is backed on 3,000 mAh battery.
