Along with Nokia 7 Plus, HMD Global has launched its flagship device called Nokia 8 Sirocco in India. The device was officially unveiled at the MWC event, the Nokia 8 Sirocco is the successor of the Nokia 8 which was launched in last year.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco now sports a 5.5 inch P-OLED Display which is a Quad HD panel, with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. Yes, the Nokia 8 Sirocco has a glass back instead of aluminium. Both front and back are covered with a frame of stainless steel. So as it has a glass back, it now has Qi wireless charging support. And the new variant has IP67 water and dust resistance, which is better than previous model’s IP54 splash resistance.
Talking about software, this new Nokia 8 is based on Android One Program, so fully stock Android along with faster updates. Now the storage option, the device is paired with 6 GB with 128 GB internal storage and it allows to expand the storage upto 256 GB via microSD card and is powered by Snapdragon 835. The battery is also bumped up to 3,260 mAh as compared to previous model’s 3,090 mAh. Lastly, the Rear Camera Setup is now 12 MP+12 MP sensor and the front camera is a 5 MP shooter.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and GPS. Moreover, it also supports the fingerprint scanner, Nokia OZO audio with 3 mics. Speaking about the pricing and availability, the device is priced at ₹49,999 and it will go on sale from April 30 via Flipkart, and it will also available in Nokia Mobile Shop and selected mobile outlets.
