Honor 9N Launched In India

Back in last week, Honor announced that the company will launch the Honor 9N on July 24. Well, as promised today the company has raised curtains and made the Honor 9N official in the country. Having said that, the device is a re-branded Honor 9i (2018) that was launched in China in last week.


The Honor 9N comes with 5.84 inch FHD+ display with 2.5D curved Glass atop along with 19:9 aspect ratio, and there is a notch on the top, the display also has 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by 2.36 GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor and paired with 3/4 GB RAM, along with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU for the graphical task. The smartphone also features GPU Turbo, which introduced with the Honor Play – the first gaming phone of the company. The GPU Turbo improves the graphics performance and reduces the power consumption. That said, GPU Turbo won’t be available on the device at this moment, but it will be rolled out later via a software update. In terms of storage, the device comes with two variants; 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage and the device allow to expand storage upto 256 GB via microSD card.

Coming to the photography department, the device features a dual camera setup at the back with the combination of 13 megapixel + 2 megapixel with f/2.2 aperture, 5P Lens, PDAF, Portrait Mode, AR Lens, and LED flash, along with 16 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, Portrait Mode, AR Lens, 3D Facial Detection, 4-in-1 Light Fusion Technology and Screen Flash. For security options, the device offers the fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Moreover, the Honor 9N also comes with a feature called ‘Game Suite’ which is similar to Gaming DND on OnePlus 6. Apart from that, the Honor 9N also comes with features such as Ride Mode and Paytm Quick Payments.

Talking about connectivity options, the device supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB, and GPS. The Honor 9N runs on Android Oreo 8.0 which is based on EMUI 8.0, and the smartphone is backed on 3,000 mAh battery to keep the lights on. In terms of colour choices, the device will be available in Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Lavender Purple, Robin Egg Blue.

Pricing and availability

The 32 GB storage variant is priced at ₹11,999, the 64 GB storage variant has the price tag of ₹13,999, and the 128 GB storage variant is coming with the price tag of ₹17,999. The device will be available through Flipkart that was reported earlier and the will start selling from July 31.
