PhonePe, the popular Indian premium smartphone, has introduced a new biometric authentication feature on the board, enabling users to make transactions using the device’s fingerprint scanner or Face unlock. This eliminates the requirement of entering the PIN.
You can able to make transactions up to Rs 5000 using the biometric authentication and if you want to make higher payments, then you need to enter your PIN to complete the transaction. Having said that, to use the new feature, you need to activate the biometric authentication on the board to complete the transaction. How to activate biometric authentication on PhonePe
Before getting into the tutorial, the newly added feature is available on Android and it will be available very soon for iOS users. So let’s check out the steps to activate biometric authentication on PhonePe.
You need to update and open the PhonePe app on your device.
- Now go to your Profile.
- Then you need to hit on Manage Payments.
- Now simply tap on the Biometric Pay Icon.
- Than simply enable Biometric Authentication for UPI Payments for respective Bank accounts.
- Now confirm using your UPI PIN and Biometric for a one-time setup.
