At the MWC 2019, the Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei unveiled its foldable smartphone called Huawei Mate X. The device was said to launch in the month of September but the company changed its mind and done some design changes, now it arrives in its home country i.e. China.
The device features a 6.6-inch FullView OLED screen. This is the first-ever foldable smartphone from Huawei. The foldable mechanism works in a way similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. The Huawei Mate X on full operation gives an 8-inch OLED screen opted for a tablet experience.
It supports the fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button, and the device is powered by Kirin 980 and paired with 8GB of RAM along with 512GB of internal storage. The specially designed software allows the user to access two apps side by side and help to move files from one app to another. Huawei Mate X supports 5G connectivity and has a hybrid sim slot. The Smartphone will have a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support. Having said that, the device is coming without Google services in the Chinese market.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the device is priced at CNY16,999 and it is already listed at Vmall and Huawei’s official online store. That said, the device will start shipping from October 15.
