Along with the new Nova 7 series, the Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei unveiled its new tablet called Huawei MatePad 10.4 and the specifications of the device were already out through the leaks and the device was also listed on the Chinese online retail stores ahead of the official announcement. Specifications of Huawei MatePad 10.4
It sports a 10.4-inch IPS display with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution, and features thin bezels along with punch-hole design to accommodate the front camera. It is powered by the in-house Kirin 810 chipset and matted with 4/6GB RAM. Regarding the storage, the device supports 64/128 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable upto 512 GB via microSD card.
Talking about the camera department, the Huawei MatePad 10.4 comes with a single a rear camera setup and that is the combination of an 8 megapixel sensor along with an LED flash and there is also an 8 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls. For connectivity, Huawei MatePad includes USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, and a dual-band Wi-Fi. It runs on EMUI 10.1, based on Android 10 and packs on a 7,250 mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology.
Having said that, the device is also coming with the education centre and that is developed in the focus of a complete learning setup and for that, there is a special Focus UI. The MatePad 10.4 also offers the M-Pencil stylus accessory and that can be use for drawing for writing purpose.
It also features a virtual learning and classrooms and the newly announced device also has “Sound By Harmon Kardon” speakers to provide an amazing sound.
Pricing and availability
The Wi-Fi variant of the device with 4GB + 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,899 while the 6GB + 128GB costs CNY 2,199. On the other hand, the LTE + Wi-Fi variant is priced at CNY 2,499. Currently, the device is only available in the market of China and there is no information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world.
