Back in last month, the Chinese brand Huawei unveiled the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro at an event in Paris and soon after the company quietly unveiled the P30 Lite. Well, today which company has launched both the P30 Pro and P30 Lite in the Indian market at an event in New Delhi. So, let’s check out the pricing and availability of the devices in India along with the refreshment of the specification details.
Huawei P30 Pro
It has a metal frame that carries glass on both front and back. It sports a larger 6.47-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution and 398ppi. There is a water drop notch and the display is HDR10 supported, though there is no information about the glass protection. It comes with HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa core processor clocked at 2.6Ghz and built on 7nm process. For graphic intensive work Mali-G76 MP10 GPU is present. The company launched 8 GB RAM variant in India with 128 GB storage variant only. The storage can be expandable via Nano Memory Card.
Coming to the camera, it has a triple camera setup at the back. The primary one is 40MP Sony IMX600 sensor with f/1.7 lens, OIS and custom RYYB color filter, which helps for low light photos and videos. The secondary one is a 20MP sensor with f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens. Lastly, the third one is an 8MP sensor with an f/3.4 125mm periscopic telephoto lens that can give 5x optical zoom.
There is also a 3D TOF sensor for better depth sensing. For better depth at close objects it also has laser autofocus. This camera setup can only record videos up to 4k at 30fps, which means no 4k at 60fps. At the front, there is a 32MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens.
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9 on top. It runs on 4200mAh battery with Huawei’s latest 40W SuperCharge support. It supports 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging at unknown Watt. It has in-display fingerprint sensor that’s most probably an optical sensor. This one lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, it has 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, aptX HD, and Type-C port.
Speaking about pricing and availability, the smartphone is priced at ₹71,990 and you can get the Huawei Watch GT worth ₹15,990 ($230) with the phone by paying ₹2,000 extra. The smartphone will be available through Amazon.in and Croma stores across the country starting next month.
Huawei P30 Lite
The smartphone sports a 6.15 inch full HD+ display with 2312 X 1080 pixels resolution along with a waterdrop like notch on the top of the display. The device is powered by Kirin 710 processor and paired with 4GB and 6 GB of RAM along with the Mali-G51 graphical task. In terms of storage, the device has 128 GB of internal storage and that can be expandable upto 256 GB via micro SD card.
Moving to the photography department, the Huawei P30 Lite rocks triple rear cameras at the rear side and that’s in the combination of 24-megapixel primary sensor that has an f/1.8 lens. The camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel sensor along with an ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. At the front, the smartphone has a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens. The device also supports fingerprint scanner apart from the traditional security options.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0.1 on top, and ships on 3,340 mAh battery.
Talking about the pricing and availability, the 4 GB RAM variant is priced at ₹19,990 while the 6 GB RAM variant costs ₹22,990. The smartphone will be available through Amazon.in and Croma stores across the country starting next month.
