Along with Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, the Chinese brand unveiled two new editions of its watch GT Smartwatch series and the newly unveiled devices are called Huawei Watch GT Active and Huawei Watch GT Elegant. Huawei Watch GT Active
It comes with the 46mm watch face similar to the Watch GT Classic and Sport, and the Watch GT Active sports a 1.39-inch AMOLED touchscreen display along with 454 x 454 pixels resolution. The Watch GT Active is coming with two-week battery life with “typical use”, that means if you use the device for all-day. The device supports features like heart rate scanning, the “scientific sleeping function” and that will work at night, 90 minutes of exercise per week as well as notifications when you get them on your smartphone. Moreover, the device is coming with 5ATM water resistant.
Furthermore, it also comes with the Triathlon mode, and that is available in three types of workout supported under this umbrella: open water swimming, outdoor cycling, and outdoor running. The smartwatch also has the ability to record the entire triathlon from start to finish, including your transition times. Having said that, the Triathlon mode is heading to the Watch GT Classic and Sport in the upcoming software update.
For connectivity, it supports GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, and a barometer. The device will be compatible with the smartphones running Android 4.4 or later, and iOS 9 or later. Speaking about the colour choice, it will be available in orange and dark green.
Huawei Watch GT Elegant
It comes with the 42mm size and a ceramic bezel option, the Watch GT Edition sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED display along with 390 x 390 pixels resolution. The Watch GT Edition offers similar battery to the Watch GT Active and the company claims that if you don’t use the exercise tracking “in a more traditional watch scenario”, then you will get 30 days of battery life. Moreover, the device is coming with 5ATM water resistant.
Furthermore, it also comes with the Triathlon mode, and that is available in three types of workout supported under this umbrella: open water swimming, outdoor cycling, and outdoor running.
