We all know that Redmi is going to unveil their first smartphone under their separate brand on 10th of January i.e. tomorrow. The company might launch more than one smartphone tomorrow, as the Redmi Note 7 recently got spotted on Geekbench. And now we got some official images of the upcoming Redmi device. So let’s have a look at them.
Lei Jun (founder of Xiaomi) published images of upcoming Redmi smartphone in three different colours. He mentioned in the post that this smartphone will have 2.5D glass on both front and back. So in 2019 Redmi series also adopted the glass back. But we don’t know whether it will be actual glass or just glass design on plastic (similar to Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2). It will have three colour shades, one will have singular colour whereas other two are gradient colours, which are listed below:
1. Black.
2. Blue (with gradient Purple).
3. Red (with gradient Purple).
Coming to the design, the placements are typical Redmi thing, vertically arranged dual camera with one being a 48MP sensor. It’s now official because it’s mentioned on the phone, below the camera setup. Then the fingerprint sensor is at the same place as before, in the upper central position. Finally comes the branding, this time it has the Redmi branding, along with ‘by Xiaomi’ in small font. The charging port is visible but we are not sure whether it’s the latest Type-C port or older Micro USB port. We hope that it will have Type-C port. Most probably the headphone jack should be on top, but who knows.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Seems like Redmi is finally making changes in terms of design. It would be interesting to see how the front will look like. We will get all our answers tomorrow, until then stay tuned with us for more information.
