Instagram brought back the GIPHY powered GIF’s back to the Stories since it was removed in January.
In January Instagram introduced a feature which allows users to use GIF to their stories with the help of GIPHY library. Later it was found that a racist GIF was spotted in it. So Instagram dropped the integration with GIPHY.
Instagram has brought GIPHY powered GIF’s to stories. To insert the GIF into your stories, you should tap on the sticker icon on the top after adding a photo and then tap the GIF option. You can search your favorite GIF or use the current trending GIF among others.
