The upcoming iQOO 16 is one of the highly anticipated flagship smartphone models and it will be official later this month in China. The company has started to share teasers to fuel the fire of excitement. The company has shared an image of the device that shows the design language of the back panel.
We can see that the device comes with a new ‘Chasing Light’ color and the same features a distinctive visual treatment. The device features a holographic rear panel developed around what iQOO describes as an industry-first laser holographic imaging technology.
The device comes with a combination of four precision processes to create a three-dimensional light effect and it will be visible from different viewing angles. As the device moves, red holographic patterns interact with blue flowing light that will be offering the rear panel a changing appearance rather than a static colour.
It is said that the camera module comes from the inspiration from a spacecraft porthole, with three cameras connected through a mechanical structure. The camera module of the device also features a hexagonal technical pattern above it, and it will be using transparent glass as part of the overall design.
Apart from the Chasing Light colour variant, the upcoming iQOO 16 smartphone will also come in Track and Legend colour options. Based on the previous reports, the upcoming iQOO 16 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro mobile processor which is reportedly built using TSMC’s 2nm process.
The device will also come with a 6.85-inch 2K Samsung display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a dedicated Q4 gaming chip and a large 8,400mAh battery. The device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
It will be coming with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The device is expected to come with 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB storage options.
