The Chinese brand has officially confirmed that the upcoming iQOO 16 will be launched in China on September 29. The upcoming flagship device is confirmed to be available in multiple colour options, including Chasing Light, which is the iridescent white finish with shifting light effects, along with Legend, which is a clean white finish, and Track, which is a dark/black finish with gaming-inspired accents.
Talking about the specification details, the upcoming iQOO 16 will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro mobile processor and this device could be one of the first to have the new Snapdragon policy processor at the heart.
The device will feature a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED display along with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 10,000 nits peak brightness. The device will also support LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage. The device will house a large 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging.
In terms of the camera department, the latest iQOO 16 will be coming with a 50MP main camera along with a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP telephoto on the back. The device will also support 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. The device will also feature a 50MP selfie camera and the phone is expected to come with a new in-house gaming chip. The device is expected to come with IP68/IP69 protection and the phone will be running on the Android 17 operating system with OriginOS out of the box.
