Late in last year, we updated that the Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio has joined its hand with US-based Flex to develop big screen smartphones at an affordable price tag and now it seems that the company is all set to launch its new device and this time it is going to be a smartphone. The newbie of Reliance Industries, Reliance Jio unveiled two devices i.e. JioPhone and JioPhone 2, both are feature phones but with the power of high-speed internet 4G. Well, now the company is going to unveil its first smartphone and that will sport a 5 inch touchscreen.
According to the source, the telecom operator who has 100 million subscribers across the country is all set to launch its new device and that it’s a touchscreen smartphone. The device will be called JioPhone 3 and the source also says that the device will sport a 5 inch touch display, this is going to be happen for the first time in the JioPhone portfolio. The device will be paired with 2 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage, it is also said that the device will rock 5 megapixel rear camera along with 2 megapixel front facing camera.
Having said that, there is no information about the operating system of the upcoming JioPhone 3. The previous JioPhones runs on the KaiOS, and we have to wait to know if the company is looking to keep its partnership with KaiOS. Or it might move to the Android ecosystem.
