Lenovo is becoming one of the leading brand in smartphone industry from past 2-3 year. In the entry level and budget segment, only brand that gives tough competition to Xiaomi phones is Lenovo. Lenovo also do some experiments and innovation in there smartphones. Just like that there’s one phone, Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. Lenovo announced this phone in June last year and made available across USA, Europe and China, now today it’s been launched in India. So what’s unique or innovative in this smartphone ? Let’s find out.
It’s the first Tango enabled smartphone in the industry. Tango technology can scan nearby objects and place virtual objects there. Like with this technology we can place a virtual furniture at the place which we want to and see how it will look like. This technology will be used for education, professional and Augmented Reality (AR) gaming purpose. For Tango technology it has three rear cameras to scan 3D objects around. 1st camera is 16MP RGB sensor camera, 2nd is a depth camera and 3rd is Fisheye camera motion tracking camera.
Now time for other specs, this Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa core processor clocked at 1.8Ghz. It sports a huge 6.4” QUAD HD Display and unibody metal design. Regarding storage it has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage with expandable storage upto 128GB. It has a big 4000mah for that QUAD HD Display. On the software side it has Android 6.0.1 marshmallow with Lenovo’s skin on top. It has fingerprint sensor on back. Coming to camera it has 16MP rear camera with depth and Fisheye camera lenses for Tango. For selfies it has 8MP front facing camera as well. For multimedia it has Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound. It’s a dual sim device with hybrid SIM solution and 4G ready.
Last year Lenovo announced this phone with two colours that are Gunmetal grey and Champagne gold. But in India Lenovo is only launching the Champagne gold colour. This phone is priced at Rs.29990 and is available exclusively at Flipkart.
