Qualcomm and MediaTek are the two popular chipset makers and the popular smartphone brands are depending on both of them for their devices but now it seems that brands are gearing up to reduce their reliance on the makers by introducing self-developed processors. We know that Huawei and Samsung already have their own version of chipsets and it was recently said that Xiaomi to launch its self-developed XRING O1 chip.
Now another Chinese player, Lenovo, seems to launch its processor and the same appears on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. According to the benchmarking platform, the Lenovo SS1101 is a 10-core SoC (yes, deca-core) built around a mix of Cortex-X3, Cortex-A715, and Cortex-A510 cores. The upcoming processor also includes two Cortex-X3 cores clocked at 3.29GHz, three Cortex-A715 cores at 2.83GHz, another two A715s at 1.9GHz, and three Cortex-A510 efficiency cores running at 1.71GHz. The chipset will also feature an Immortalis-G720 GPU.
