As MWC is going live, many OEMs are launching many smartphones and other smartphone related products. Back in August, MediaTek revealed there new Helio X30 processor. Now at MWC, MediaTek officially announced the availability of Helio X30. But before the availability date, let’s first find out what’s inside this processor.
This Helio X30 processor is an high end processor with two ARM Cortex A73 cores clocked at 2.5Ghz, four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.2Ghz and four ARM Cortex cores clocked at 1.9Ghz . It sports PowerVR Series7XT Plus GPU that’s clocked at 800MHz. It’s suppose to be 2.5 times more powerful and 60% more efficient compared to predecessor.
This processor is built on latest 10nm manufacturing process that makes the processor more power efficient, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor is also built on 10nm process. MediaTek said that this processor requires 50% less power & the performance is increased to 35%. This processor supports screen resolution upto 2560×1600, 14 bit ISPs that supports Dual 16MP+16MP Camera Setup and RAM upto 8GB.
Now coming to the availability of this processor, we can expect this processor to come in smartphones from the second quarter of this year. So let’s see how powerful will be this processor. Stay tuned with us for more information.
