After Qualcomm, now the Taiwanese chipset maker MediaTek has unveiled its new chipset called the MediaTek Dimensity 1050. The newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 1050 chipset is an octa-core processor and the same is built using a 6nm process. It is featuring two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.5GHz and the new chipset is also coming with ARM Mali-G610 for graphics processing. It is also supporting MediaTek’s HyperEngine 5.0 suite and will provide extra optimization tools along with better gaming performance.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1050 processor can feature Full HD+ resolution with up to 144Hz refresh rate along with support for hardware-accelerated AV1 video decoding, HDR10+ playback, and Dolby Vision.
It is also coming with 3CC carrier aggregation on the sub-6GHz (FR1) spectrum and 4CC carrier aggregation on the mmWave (FR2) spectrum. The chipset also offers Wi-Fi 6E and 2×2 MIMO antenna for superfast Wi-Fi connectivity.
MediaTek has officially confirmed that the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 will be available in the market sometime between July and September this year.
