The popular chipset maker MediaTek has introduced its new chipset dubbed MediaTek Dimensity 9200. The newly introduced chipset is coming with the capability to support both mmWave 5G and sub-6GHz 5G networks and the chipset is the first to feature an Arm Cortex X3 CPU core. It is also featuring an Immortalis-G715 GPU along with hardware-based ray tracing and the chipset is also coming with HyperEngine 6.0 Gaming Technology. Having said that, the popular Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone will feature the new mobile processor.
Everything about MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC
The newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC is coming with an Arm Cortex-X3 core at 3.05GHz along with three Arm Cortex-A715 cores at 2.85GHz and four Arm Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz. The chipset is based on TSMC’s 4nm process and it is coming with improvements in power efficiency and features a thermal package design and the same will keep devices cool.
MediaTek has also revealed that the newly announced mobile processor is compatible with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage as well.
It is also featuring an Immortalis-G715 GPU along with a hardware-based ray tracing engine and the same is also coming with HyperEngine 6.0 Gaming Technology.
The latest MediaTek Dimensity 9200 mobile processor can offer Imagiq 890 image signal processor (ISP) and the same can offer great low-light and bright-light photography. MediaTek Dimensity 9200 also features native support for RGBW sensors and coupled with the Video Stream Engine which is said to offer cinematic videos. The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 mobile processor is having a 6th-generation AI processing unit (APU) and it is also featuring eXtreme Power Saving Technology.
Speaking about the display department, it can offer full-HD+ displays along with a 240Hz refresh rate, it is also capable to offer WHQD screens with an up to 144Hz refresh rate. The chipset is also capable to offer 5K resolution with an up to 60Hz refresh rate.
It is worth mentioning that the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 9200 mobile processor is the first chipset to support Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
The mobile chipset is believed to power the upcoming Vivo X90 series and the same will be official before the end of this year.
