MediaTek also announced the latest Dimensity 9500s mobile processor for the sub-flagship phones. The latest processor comes with all-core CPU architecture built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm manufacturing process. It also features a Cortex-X925 core (@3.73GHz), three Cortex-X4 (@3.30GHz), and four Cortex-A720 (@2GHz) cores, and more than 29 billion transistors.
It is also said that the latest chip supports “super memory compression technology” and the same will be helping to increase the speed for everyday tasks. The latest Dimensity 9500s also features a large 19MB CPU cache and the processor also comes with 10MB of system cache.
The processor supports Immortalis-G925 GPU for the graphical task that supports ray-tracing. The newly announced chip can also handle a range of on-device AI tasks. The processor features a high-end autofocus engine, fast capture capabilities, and a semantic segmentation video engine. It also supports 8K HDR recording with Dolby Vision.
In terms of connectivity, the processor supports a 5G Release 17 modem with support for four-carrier aggregation and theoretical download speeds of up to 7Gbps. The chipset also supports Wi-Fi 7 with speeds up to 6.5Gbps and a new Bluetooth feature that will enable direct phone-to-phone connections at distances of up to five kilometers without using cellular networks.
It is also confirmed that the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 Max smartphone will be the first phone in the world to feature the latest processor.
