The popular chipset maker MediaTek has unveiled two new chipsets called the MediaTek Filogic 880 and Filogic 380 and the same is coming with Wi-Fi 7 technology. The latest MediaTek Filogic 880 is a 6nm SoC and it is featuring Wi-Fi 7 access point along with an advanced host processor solution that will offer a better router and gateway solution. It is coming with a scalable architecture and the same support up to penta-band 4×4 with a maximum speed of 36Gbps. The chipset can also offer a speed of up to 10Gbps in one channel and the same can support OFDMA RU, MU-MIMO, and MBSSID
Moreover, the Filogic 880 is featuring a powerful host CPU with a quad-core Arm Cortex-A73 application processor and a sophisticated NPU.
On the other hand, the MediaTek Filogic 380 is also a 6nm chip and the same is also featuring Wi-Fi 7 as well as Bluetooth 5.3. It can be used in the devices such as smartphones, tablets, televisions, notebook computers, set-top boxes, and OTT streaming sticks.
The chipset features dual concurrent 2 x 2 capability and the same can offer up to 6.5Gbps speed along with up to 5Gbps bandwidth in one channel. The chip features 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands.
