The popular chipset maker MediaTek is continuously expanding its portfolio and now the chipset maker has announced its brand new MediaTek Genio 700 IoT chip and the announcement came at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023. The music announced MediaTek Genio 700 is an octa-core processor and the same is meant for smart home as well as smart retail and industrial IoT products. and is focused on power efficiency.
MediaTek Genio 700 IoT Chip is manufactured using 6nm process and the same is having two ARM Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.2GHz, along with six ARM Cortex A-55 cores running at 2.0GHz while providing 4.0 TOPs AI accelerator.
It is also supporting dual displays, as well as an ISP for better images. MediaTek is also saying that manufacturers can able to customize products using Yocto Linux, Ubuntu, and Android, which will enable them to easily develop their own products with a minimal amount of effort, regardless of application type.
The chipset is also supporting high-speed interfaces, including PCIe 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen1, and MIPI-CSI interface for the camera. It is also supporting (Full HD at 60Hz and 4K at 60Hz), along with AV1, VP9, H.265, and H.264 (video decode) support. It is also featuring ARM SystemReady certification platform and ARM PSA certification for increased security.
