MediaTek Working On 5G Powered Processor

The popular chipset maker MediaTek is working on the new processor and that will built on 7nm which will be capable for the 5G connectivity. The new processor will be powerful than the company’s Helio P90 processor and will offer more power to the high-end devices.

Finbarr Moynihan, MediaTek’s vice president of corporate sales and business development for the Americas and Europe, has confirmed that they are developing on a processor built on the 7nm process. He further says that it will power ‘high-end phones’ and will be more powerful than the Helio P90 processor. Kevin Keating, MediaTek’s director of global public relations, also confirms that the upcoming chipset series would offer 5G capabilities.

Speaking about the availability, the chipset makers said that they will launch the new MediaTek processor will be unveiled later this year but did not mention the exact timeline for the launch.
