Meizu Zero Unveiled With “Holeless” Design

The concept of a smartphone is changing very rapidly and we already know that in this year, we are going to see very innovative Smartphones and we already started to see devices with the new designing language as well as the concept. Major smartphone brands are planning to launch bezel-less design smartphones, devices with punch hole display to accommodate the front facing camera and also foldable smartphones. Well, today a Chinese smartphone brand Meizu has launched a new device called Meizu Zero and the device is the world’s first smartphone which has a holeless design.

The device is made with ceramic unibody construction and the smartphone comes with a holeless design, it doesn’t have a single hole on the body. The smartphone is also IP68 water and dust resistance.

The all new Meizu Zero sports a 5.99 flexible OLED display along with a 2.5D glass atop and the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 845, the company did not confirm the amount of RAM and storage but confirms that it is using LPDDR4X memory. Moving on to the camera department, the smartphone features a 12MP Sony IMX380 + 20MP Sony IMX350 dual-camera setup at the rear with Meizu’s One Mind AI Smart 2 engine, along with a 20 megapixel front facing camera. The device also has the in-display fingerprint scanner as well as facial recognition feature for the great level of security.

As the smartphone sports holeless design, it doesn’t have the speaker and to make audio the device utilizes the unique mSound 2.0 screen sound technology. It also rocks virtual pressure-sensitive power and volume control buttons on the side. Meizu’s mEngine 2.0 engine ensures to offer the same feel as a physical button, and the virtual buttons also use the advanced pressure detection technology and capacitive positioning technology.

Regarding the software, the Meizu Zero run on the company’s Flyme 7 UI, likely based on Android Oreo, the company hasn’t announced the battery capacity but it utilizes the company’s in-house 18W wireless for fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability of Meizu Zero

The company has not announced any detail about the availability or pricing information, but It is expected to go on sale once all Chinese carriers start to support the eSIM technology.
