In the rising industry of light weight Notebooks, Xiaomi is one of the big players in India. Their Mi Notebook series was a hit last year and recently launched RedmiBook 15 series also looks like a good value. Though these laptops are very good for laptop, none of them are not ideal for content creators. And for them, Xiaomi today launched two new Mi Notebooks. How they are focused for content creation? Let’s find out.
Mi Notebook Ultra:
This is the most premium laptop by Xiaomi in India till date. It sports a 15.6-inch Mi TrueLife+ IPS LCD Display with 3.2K (3200 x 2000) resolution and 242 PPI. It has 100% sRGB wide color gamut, DC Dimming, TUV Rheinland Eye Safety, and 90Hz refresh rate. The higher resolution and color accuracy makes it an ideal display for designing & color grading stuff. It has 16:10 aspect ratio making it more spacious for video editing timeline.

For performance, this Mi Notebook Ultra comes with 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11300H and i7-11370H processors. For light to moderate graphical work there’s Intel Iris XE graphics. It has 8/16GB RAM options with 512GB PCIe NVME SSD storage. A 70-WHr battery with 65W fast charging via Type-C port is here to juice up the Notebook.

This Mi Notebook Ultra has plenty of ports including 1 x Type-C Thunderbolt 4, 1 x Type-C USB, 1 x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1 x Type-A USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI, and 1 x 3.5mm headphone jack. The keyboard keys has scissor mechanism with 1.5mm key travel & 3-level backlit keyboard. There’s a fingerprint sensor embedded into the power button. The touch pad is bigger now with multi touch support and windows precision drivers.

For connectivity it has dual band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support. There’s typical 720p average webcam. For audio it has 2 x 2W stereo speakers with DTS audio support. Windows 10 lifetime validity with free Windows 11 update will be given here, along with Pre-installed Office apps as well. The body is made up of Series 6 Aluminium. It weights at 1.79 KG and is 17.9mm thick.
Mi Notebook Pro:
This one is very similar to the above one but is more compact with very few changes. The major change is smaller 14-inch Mi TrueLife+ IPS LCD Display with 2.5k (2560 x 1600) resolution and 215 PPI. It is lighter at 1.46 KG and is 17.3mm thinner. Rest every specifications are same as the Ultra.

And these are the two new content creation laptops by Xiaomi. Surely it’s not ideal for video editing because the Ryzen CPUs will give better performance at cheaper price. Also lack of dedicated Nvidia GPU will be missed for extreme graphic intensive tasks like After Effect work. But for graphic designers and content creators this looks one of the best Notebook available, because of such good display at this price.
