Google and Apple offers app store on the mobile platform and they are dominating in their own way as the store of Google is only available on Android while Apple offers its App Store on the iOS platform. Now we got a new piece of information which is suggesting that Microsoft is gearing up to rival both Apple and Google as Microsoft is reportedly bringing its own mobile app store in the near future.
Phil Spencer, the head of the American tech giant told Financial Times that the DMA (European Union’s Digital Markets Act) will be helping Microsoft to build and launch its mobile application store. The new act will come into effect in 2024 and the new law is asking Apple and Google to allow users to download and run third party digital contents on their devices, which are outside of their respective app stores.
We don’t have any other information about the upcoming Microsoft store for mobile at this moment of time but we are looking forward to learn more about the same in the coming days.
