More than a decade ago, the tech giant Microsoft was active in the smartphone industry by launching Microsoft Lumia phones and the company also purchased Nokia but they couldn’t able to stand. I personally loved Microsoft Lumia phones as it was the only option to play with something new instead of Android and iOS.
The company closed its mobile division in 2017. Microsoft is currently offering its Surface Duo mobile devices which are based on the Android Operating System. Having said that, the future of those devices is uncertain as well.
Now the top most executive of Microsoft, Satya Nadella has admitted that the decision of shutting down the mobile division was a mistake and he revealed the same in an interview.
