Microsoft and Android are integrated and we can carry out various activities on our Android phone through the computer without touching the phone with the help of Phone Link. Now Microsoft is enhancing the integration by offering the capability to manage Android file manager via Windows File Explorer.
It is worth mentioning that the new capability is currently available for Insiders of Microsoft. You need to have the Android phone with at least Android 11 or later and you also need to enroll in the beta program for the “Link to Windows” app on your phone, with version 1.24071 or higher.
After that, your PC must be running Windows 11 and be part of the Windows Insider Program. If you have these criteria then you can set up this feature through the Windows Settings menu.
You need to go to “Bluetooth & devices > Mobile Devices,” and select the “Manage devices” option. Now you need to provide your PC access to your phone and this will unlock the “Access in File Explorer” toggle. So this will enable you to easily manage your file manager on the computer.
We believe that Microsoft will be rolling out the new capability in the stable version very soon and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates from the world of technology.
