The world-famous company Microsoft patent for a triple screen Surface phone. The details of the patent came out. Now Microsoft is expected to concentrate on Surface series devices.
The report from PatientlyApple says that the company will build a Surface Trio as a “Multi-Panel Display Device”. On July 23, 2020, the Microsoft filed for a Patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The details were published on 23rd December 2021. According to the report, it includes a single sketch of the technicalities of the device. It is a triple screen setup. The smartphone tries to avoid the problem that ails the Surface Duo, being the absence of an outer screen.
The smartphone will support a total of three displays. three displays are connected through two hinges in the middle. When the user folds the displays 2 and 1 Display, No.3 of the device becomes the primary screen. When the user unfolds they get a dual-screen experience akin to the current Surface Duo. The user can fold the display 1 to both directions.
The sketch shows that display 1 is bulkier than panels 2 and 3. It may be packed with most of the hardware like the battery, logic board, and SoC. The upcoming smartphone seems to be huge when completely unfolded. Moreover, the device is quite bulky when folded.
