Microsoft Will End Support Of Cortana Next Year On Multiple Platforms

Cortana the digital assistant developed by the tech giant Microsoft and the company implemented the same on its Windows 10 operating system along with the mobile launcher and it also rolled out on the popular mobile platforms such as Android as well as iOS. However, the digital assistant failed to defend against Google Assistant and Alexa and that resulted in Microsoft forcefully agreed that its digital assistant is not powerful than its competitors, and now the company has officially confirmed that it will stop the support for its own digital assistant next year.

Microsoft has announced that it will stop support for Cortana for Android as well as iOS platform, the company will also drop the support for the digital assistant on the popular devices and that includes Harman Kardon invoke speaker along with the Surface headphones.

The company will stop supporting the digital assistant in the Harman Kardon Invoke speaker in January 2021 and Microsoft will make a shift towards a transformational AI power digital assistant experience in its Microsoft 365.

Having said that, there is no surprise behind this decision because we already know that the Cortana struggling in the market and the company already separated the same from its search on the computer, and the company now also allows users to uninstall the same from the Windows 10 powered computer. Moreover, the company has also discontinued the digital assistant from Launcher app for Android in India, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, Spain, and the UK.
