The newly announced Microsoft Windows 365 Link is a compact device and it comes with 3x USB-A 3.2 ports, 1x USB-C 3.2 port, 1x HDMI port, 1x DisplayPort, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack, 1x Ethernet port, Kensington lock port, as well as a port for the power cord.
It also supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. The device will be supporting dual 4K monitor support and it is said that the device can wake instantly from sleep. The latest Microsoft Windows 365 Link features local processing capabilities. The device can also work to support high-fidelity meetings with Webex by Cisco apart from Microsoft Teams.
The device is also focused on security and the device comes with a locked-down operating system with no local data or apps. It also lacks local admin users as well. The device also features passwordless authentication using Microsoft Entra ID that will enable you to login with multifactor authentication using the Microsoft Authenticator app and more. The company is also offering features including the Secure Boot, Trusted Platform Module, BitLocker encryption, and other security features and the same can’t be turned off as well.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the latest Windows 365 Link will be available globally starting April 2025 and it has a price tag of $349. Microsoft will allow interested users to preview and the program will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
